Anılar ve hikayeler kimliÄŸimizi oluÅŸturur. KimliÄŸimizi bulmak sürekli eylem halinde olan bir konu. GeçmiÅŸten getirdiklerimiz, anının kendisinden deÄŸil, algımızda bıraktıkları izden ya da duygudan kaynaklanır ve tekrarlandığında deÄŸiÅŸebilir, yaptığımız seçimlere göre farklı biçimlere bürünebilir.

GerçekliÄŸimiz haline gelen bu sayısız anı arasında ortak olan ÅŸeyle ve onları aynılıktan ötekiliÄŸe ayıran çizgiyle ilgileniyorum. Bunu geri döndürebilir miyiz ya da hem hatırlayan hem de anlatıcı arasında baÅŸka bir ortak hikaye yaratmak mümkün mü? Tıpkı bireyin kendini sürekli yenileyebilen ve geliÅŸtirebilen bir oluÅŸum içinde olması gibi.

Anlatısal bir kimlik üzerinden, bireyde bıraktığı iz ya da duygu üzerinden ortak bir dil ve kolektif bir paylaşım alanı oluÅŸturmak için çalışıyorum. GeçmiÅŸte yaÅŸananlara dair birçok hakikatin olabileceÄŸini kabul etmek ve tek bir hakikati sahiplenmekten vazgeçmek, imgesel alanda hikayelerin esnekliÄŸi ile bir alışveriÅŸ durumu yaratıyor.
Hikayelerin bireyde bıraktığı izlerin hatırlanması, kendi hikayelerimin baÅŸkaları tarafından anlatılmasına da olanak tanıyan bir hafıza alışveriÅŸi inÅŸa ederek yeni hikayelere açılan bir alan yaratırken, baÅŸkalarının hikayelerinin de hatırlanmasına ve anlatılmasına olanak tanıyor.

Memories and stories form our identity. Finding our identity is a subject in constant action. What we bring from the past does not come from the actual memory itself but by the trace or emotion they leave in our perception, and can change when repeated, and can take on different forms according to the choices we make.

I am interested in what is common between these countless memories that become our realities; and the line that seperates them from sameness to otherness. Can we change it back or is it possible to create another common story between both the rememberer and the narrator. Just as the individual is in a formation that can constantly renew and develop itself.

I work through a narrative identity, to form a common language and a collective sharing space through the trace or emotion it leaves on the individual. Acknowledging that there may be many truths about what happened in the past, and renouncing the appropriation of a single truth, creates a situation of exchange with the flexibility of stories in the imaginary field. The recollection of the trace left by the stories on the individual creates a space that opens up to new stories by building a memory exchange which also allows my own stories to be told by others, while also allowing the stories of others to be remembered and told.
