The piece was commissioned by a newly-wed couple for a residential project.

It was hand carved from reclaimed wood, cut and rearranged and put back together to create a new form of a whole.

It was inspired by the means of carrying out a relationship; two different people sharing life and how it shelters many different experiences and possibilities that shape both parties.
